We sail this evening at 11 p.m. and I spent the morning ashore, visiting Osaka itself. The ladies returned from Kyoto late yesterday evening having had a wonderful day. Karen’s camera was put to good use, although one or two of her photos were out of focus, (depth of field challenges 🙂 ) she had taken enough to make it worthwhile. This post is going to more of a ‘photo’ gallery, as we are still alongside and I wrote about our arrival yesterday. It is February 13th here and I have been reminded, (as if I needed telling), that tomorrow is valentine’s day, which we will spend at sea, on our way to Kagoshima, Japan; a Valentine Ball will be held tomorrow night…..
First, the Golden Pavilion and the Rokuon-ji Temple. It is a Zen Buddhist temple and is on the site of a villa, built in 1397. It is a World Cultural Heritage site and near Kyoto.
Then onto Kiyomoe-Dera temple.
And now a menage of various photos taken by Karen and myself. The first, in Kyoto….
Now, some of mine in Osaka, not as glamorous as Kyoto…
