We docked at 7 a.m. having entered the small harbour through a gap in the reef, approximately 60m wide. The compulsory pilot who left us once docked, will rejoin us for departure at the uncivilised time of 5 a.m tomorrow morning and come with us to Moorea and thence to Bora Bora. Moorea is a mere ‘hop’ away and it will take us only a couple of hours to get there.
It’s hot and humid 86F/30C and guests don’t stay out long. Even I, who should be used to such heat, find it difficult as I go ashore to take some photos.
What about Pitcairn Island? Were you able to anchor? I could not find your write up on this fascinating island. I really enjoy reading your entries. 🙂
Hello Lisa, look at 25th January, thanks
Hi Jonathan, I cannot find Jan 25. Your entries stop at Easter Island and then restarts at Papetee. Not sure how to get Jan 25 on the site. When I click onto archives Jan 2014 only your last 2 entries are posted.
Oops, I found it. Strange that it was not on the site earlier. Thank you.
When you asked, Lisa, I realised taht my categories were wrong, so just spent an hour sorting it, thank you for pointing it out
