We progress from Kuto and I write this on my Sunday evening, it’s 10 in the morning in Europe, 5 in the morning on the east coast. Sea-days are just as busy as port days; more so really as I have functions. This morning, a presentation to our longer serving crew, 10 and 15 year lapel pins are presented to them. At noon, suite guests are treated to a buffet in the Pinnacle grill and then it’s a quick dash to give my daily report from the bridge.
Relative calm for a while, paperwork. Friso is leaving us in Sydney and so an appraisal is required; he similarly, has to write them for some of the Deck officers who are leaving, I have to sight and sign them too. Then, in the evening, a couple renewing their vows, (wedding vows that is); 30-year anniversary and so a ceremony in the Crows Nest.
Sundays make me think of family and coincidentally, I received 2 new photos of Emily and Violet, what better way to start my day.
