Towards Barbados

A Happy Easter to all of you and your families!  We are still in the north-easterly Trade winds and they continue to give us a push along as they have remained around 25 kts from astern.  Seas have been rough, although they are ‘following’, so our stabilisers are taking care of the ‘motion of the ocean’.

My days seemed to have been filled with either more typing, or social functions and even though today is a Sunday, it has been no exception.

This morning, the Staff officers, (bravely) held a Q&A session in our Queen’s Lounge and answered as many questions as we could during the 50 minutes that we had.  Nothing too awkward arose and I was quite surprised that we did not receive more ‘technical’ questions; instead answering individual concerns about such diverse matters as ‘upgrades’ to the hardness of the seating 🙂

Our guests (and I) were keen to see the Easter buffet, assembled in the lower dining room and open for ‘viewing’ before the ‘hordes’ descended and ‘laid it to waste’.  I truly was an extravaganza of culinary delight, our Culinary Operations Manager, Paul and our Executive Chef, Daniel had truly excelled and the ‘oohs and aahs’ could be heard constantly.  The viewing lasted an hour and then the real business began, eating it!

These will have your mouths salivating!
