4th March

Our 3rd and final day in this vivacious city. For those of you who are not aware, at night, the skyline becomes a radiance of lights.  Every skyscraper and tall building has its own particular colour; many of them advertisements, many with neon signs that run the entire height of the building, it is, in a word, breath-taking.  We have a special function during our call, on the aft Lido deck.  Tables are covered with white linen, canapes and wine are served and all the while, for 2 hours, the skyline is the backdrop.

I took my trusty camera and, having done so, promised myself that during my next leave period, I would attend some photography classes; night skylines are some of the most difficult scenes I have encountered.  So, for your delectation, my humble offering, (the ones that survived the “erase images” function that is).  😉

Don’t forget that double-click a photo and it will enlarge with hi-res).
